The Institut de Palamós, started the project "Internet segura de tu a tu“ (Safer internet between equals) with the collaboration of the police of Catalonia. The main objective of the project is to raise awareness of the problems and risks that using internet can lead to and create healthy habits in the use of the Internet and social networks.
To achieve that, we have applied it in the three pillars that make up the comprehensive education of children and young people: students themselves, teachers and parents.
In sum, the main idea is that young students of third level "3rd ESO" (15 years old) receive training from the Police specialists on the use of the Internet and social networks and then transmit this knowledge to their younger fellow students of "1st ESO" (12 years old). In addition, these young people become trainers and advisors relating to all students at the school during the school year.
To support this project, mothers, fathers and teachers also follow a session / training.
The training sessions started on this 10th of February (SID). It is another step to get a safer internet following the slogan of 2015 "let's create a better internet together" in our community.
